| Event Details: Music Niagara is elated to open its 2010 season with a grand and moving celebration of Schumann and Chopin on their 200th birthdays, by one of Canada's most accomplished pianists. Thrill to a moving program performed by Andre Laplante, a master whose work has been aptly called "both technically awesome and time-stoppingly beautiful" (Vancouver Sun). Winner of Les Prix Opus, Member of the Order of Canada, Juno recipient, and more, Mr. Laplante possesses "a technique fully at the beck and call of an artistic sensibility in the grandest sense...Music-making of which memories are made" (Columbus Review). Following this exceptional experience, you are invited to join Mr. Laplante, renowned musicologist Dr. Alan Walker, Music Niagara sponsors, and special guests at a post-concert reception. Don't miss this extraordinary evening.
