• Old Fort Erie's Fenian Raid ^New June 14, 15, 2008
  The Fenian's were groups of revolutionary Irish immigrants who migrated to British colonies all over the world and conducted lightning raids on British strong holds. Two such raid took place in the Niagara Region at/or near Ridgeway and Old Fort Erie in 1866.

• 13th Annual Mid-Winter Pow Wow March 1, 2008

• 16th Annual Rods and Relics Car Show June 2008
  The Rods N Relics Car Show invited all car enthusiasts to Fort Erie in June 2007 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, rain or shine for a fantabulous display a motor powered vehicles. All proceeds from registration benefited Tender Wishes and the Head Injury Association of Niagara.

• 2008 Crystal Beach Art Festival Sunday June 22, 2008
  Over 50 artists from all over Southern Ontario and Western New York will display and sell their work in a beautiful lakeside park in Crystal Beach. There will be on going demonstrations of the artists at work. A concert will follow that evening at 7:00pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and make a full day of it.

• 4th Annual Crystal Beach 5K Run/Walk Saturday, October 11, 2008
  The race begins at the corner of Ridgeway Rd. and Erie. Rd. and proceeds up Erie Rd. toward the Buffalo Canoe Club and back to the start. It is a beautiful fast course, with great age group awards and door prizes and an excellent post race party at the Palmwood Restaurant. If you are a competitive runner, it is a chance to post a PR as the course is flat and certified. If you are a walker it is a chance to start or continue your health/fitness routine.
