• Old Fort Erie's Fenian Raid ^New June 14, 15, 2008
  The Fenian's were groups of revolutionary Irish immigrants who migrated to British colonies all over the world and conducted lightning raids on British strong holds. Two such raid took place in the Niagara Region at/or near Ridgeway and Old Fort Erie in 1866.

  For Workplace Employers and Supervisors. Today's reality and state of the world include the potential for a wide variety of occurrences. Are your staff prepared to react to these challenges effectively? These days the average individual carries heavy load of stress just under the surface. Learn how to help others, and help yourselves, during a time of crisis. You, your staff and co-workers will learn the basics to: identifying a guideline to what is needed for each situation; demobilizing, defusing, critical incident stress debriefing. Having a plan creates a sense of personal power. Create a plan for the workplace that you can pass on to your staff. Participants must register.

• Support the Troops Aviation Day ^New August 27, 2008
  On August 27th, 2008 the Niagara Central Airport in Pelham will be hosting an Aviation Day. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will perform their aerial acrobatics directly over the airport. In addition to this significant attraction a CF – 18 Hornet is planned to perform a fly-by, piloted by a former student of the Niagara Central Airport. A WWII Lancaster from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum will follow. On the ground, numerous vintage aircraft will be on display, with some warbirds offering rides. There will be no entrance fee for the event and proceeds from a parking donation will be donated to local charity. The theme of the day will be, 'Support the Troops', and will honour the men and women from the Armed Forces from both sides of the border. Come out and show your support for the veterans who have served their country, or are currently engaged in this noble pursuit.
