Synopsis
| With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to destroy organised crime in Gotham forever. The trio proves to be effective in battling crime, but they soon find themselves falling prey to a sinister criminal mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger). When Gotham begins to descend into anarchy the Dark Knight is forced ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. |
