Synopsis
New York City subway dispatcher Walter Garber's (Denzel Washington) regular routine is thrown into chaos as the hijacking of a subway train under his care unfolds. A group of thugs led by a criminal mastermind (John Travolta) with a penchant for perplexity, threatens to execute the train's passengers unless a large ransom is paid within one hour. As the tension mounts, Garber uses his extensive knowledge of the NYC subway system in a battle to outwit the crimanals and save the hostages.
